Privacy Policy

Effective date: 23 August 2026  ·  Last updated: 23 August 2026

Plumee ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the Plumee mobile application and related services (collectively, the "Service"). Please read this policy carefully. If you disagree with its terms, please discontinue use of the Service.

1. Information We Collect

We collect information you provide directly to us and information collected automatically:

We do not collect precise location, your contacts, or advertising identifiers, and Plumee contains no third-party advertising.

2. How We Use Your Information

We process your personal data on the following legal bases (where the GDPR applies): to perform our contract with you (running the Service), with your consent (analytics, optional reminders), and for our legitimate interests (securing, debugging, and improving the Service). Specifically, we use your information:

We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

3. AI Features and What We Send

To suggest your next action and generate coaching, we send relevant parts of your goal content to OpenRouter (and the underlying AI model provider it routes to), which also generates the text embeddings we use to find relevant suggestions. The content sent can include: your goal title, your motivation and deadline, your onboarding answers about the goal, the text and difficulty rating of actions you have completed, your (non-private) reflections, and the chat-thread discussion on that goal. To surface what has worked for people with similar goals, an AI suggestion may also draw on other users' non-private reflection text; anything you mark private is excluded. We do not send your name, email address, or date of birth to these AI services.

4. Third-Party Services

We rely on the following processors, each governed by its own privacy policy:

5. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. You can delete your account at any time from the app; when you do, we delete or anonymise your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain certain information for legal or legitimate business purposes.

6. Data Security

We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information against accidental loss, misuse, and unauthorised access. However, no transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee the absolute security of your data.

7. Children's Privacy

The Service is intended for users aged 13 and older, and we require a date of birth during onboarding to enforce this minimum age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If we become aware that a user under 13 has provided personal information, we will delete it promptly.

8. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have some or all of the following rights:

California residents (CCPA/CPRA): we do not sell or share your personal information as those terms are defined under California law, and we honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals as a valid opt-out of sale/sharing. You have the right to know, delete, correct, and to be free from discrimination for exercising these rights.

To exercise any of these rights, email us at support@plumee.app. We will respond within 30 days.

9. International Transfers

Your data may be processed in countries other than the one in which you reside, including the United States, by us and the processors listed in section 4. Where we transfer data out of the UK/EEA, we rely on appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses to ensure your data receives an adequate level of protection.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you via in-app notification or email. Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy.
