Esteem ("we", "our", or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the Esteem mobile application and related services (collectively, the "Service"). 1. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly to us and information collected automatically:
- Account & profile data: name, email address, age range, relationship situation, goals, confidence self-assessment, physical profile (height, weight, gender, hair details), and lifestyle habits you enter during onboarding or within the app.
- Usage data: screens visited, features used, goals and actions created, lessons completed, XP earned, streaks, and timestamps.
- Device data: device type, operating system version, app version, and crash reports.
- Notification preferences: whether you have granted notification permissions and your daily reminder settings.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To create and manage your account and provide the Service.
- To personalise your training plan, goals, and coaching recommendations.
- To send push notifications and daily reminders (only with your permission).
- To monitor and improve app performance, diagnose crashes, and fix bugs.
- To understand aggregate usage patterns and improve the Service.
- To comply with legal obligations.
3. Third-Party Services
We use the following third-party services, each governed by their own privacy policy:
- Clerk (clerk.com/privacy) — authentication and identity management. Clerk processes your email address and manages sign-in sessions on our behalf.
- PostHog (posthog.com/privacy) — product analytics. We use PostHog to understand how users interact with the app. Data is processed in the US. You may opt out by contacting us at the address below.
- Sentry (sentry.io/privacy) — crash reporting and error monitoring.
4. Data Retention
We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymise your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal or legitimate business purposes.
5. Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information against accidental loss, misuse, and unauthorised access. However, no transmission over the internet is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee the absolute security of your data.
6. Children's Privacy
The Service is intended for users aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If we become aware that a user under 18 has provided personal information, we will delete it promptly.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the following rights:
